She was predeceased by: her husband Eugene Swafford; her sons, Dennis Leroy, Roy Gene Swafford and Kenneth Swafford; her parents, Jess Brooks and Lala Brooks (Campbell); and her sisters, Ona "Leeverda" Garret and Nola Loretta Brooks.

She is survived by: her daughter Sharon Young (Gary) of Van Buren; her daughter-in-law Linda Swafford of Van Buren; her grandchildren, Amy Swafford, Daniel Swafford (Christi), Allison Jones and Grant Jones; and her great grandchildren, Caelyn, Raegan and Joslyn Swafford.
