He was predeceased by: his wife Jackie Garcia; his father Manuel Garcia Robledo; and his brothers, Jose, Domingo and Jesus Garcia-Hernandez.

He is survived by: his mother Epifania Hernandez-Aquilera of Mexico; and his siblings, Angelina Garcia-Hernandez of Mexico, Maria Guadalupe Garcia-Hernandez of Mexico, Juan Garcia-Hernandez of Greenwood and Jorge Alberto Garcia-Hernandez of Mexico.
