He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Carter and Callie Carter (Gregory); his sister Mildred Hunter; and his granddaughter Misty Jackson. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Carter; his children, Debra Finney (Charles) of Mulberry and Bobby Carter (Peggy) of Oklahoma; his brother Robert Carter of Fort Smith; and his grandchildren, Summer Ackerman, Joseph Carter, Spring Carter, Chris Carter and Kelly Carter. He is also survived by twenty-one great-grandchildren, and eleven great-great-grandchildren.
