He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Horton (Blasingame); his parents, Clarence Horton and Pauline Horton (Gibson); and his siblings, Marcella Horton, Butch and Joe Horton.
He is survived by: his children, Scharlet Griffin (Tom) of Alma, Tammy Jester (Tony) of Van Buren and Quincy Horton (Phennapat) of Van Buren; and his siblings, Essie Gates (David) of Alma, Linda Carter of Van Buren, Paul Horton of Alma and David Horton (Emma) of Van Buren. He is also survived by four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
