He is survived by: his wife Sue Hembera (Johnson); his children, Dena Allison (William) of Van Buren, Jeanna Hoover (Robert) of Oak Point, Texas and John Hembera Jr. (Elaine) of Norman, Oklahoma; and his siblings, Diane Allen of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Robert Hembera of Hiawatha, Iowa. He is also survived by six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
