He was predeceased by: his wife Bethany Perry; and his parents, Jimmye Kaye Hopkins and Robert Black. He is survived by: his sons, Chad Black of Alma and Travis Black of Texas; his stepdaughters, Penny Schevey of Virginia and Crystal Perry of Alma; and his brothers, Kerry Black of Alabama and Brent Black of Oregon. He is also survived by Papa to his thirteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
