He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hopkins and Eula Marie Hopkins (Rose). He is survived by: his wife Barbara Hopkins; his daughters, Kimberly Kozubovska of Menomonie and Teresa Lalonde of Van Buren; and his brother Dwight Stanley Hopkins. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
