He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Odell Nevels and Viola Barnard Nevels. He is survived by: his wife Frances of Van Buren; his children, Brian of Fort Smith, Kimberly Lee (Gabriel) and Patricia Wheeler (George); and his stepsons, Richard, Keith and Randy Tedder. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; six-teen great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Edwards Funeral Home (201 N 12th St, Fort Smith, AR 72901). The military honors was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Fort Smith National Cemetery (522 Garland Ave, Fort Smith, AR 72901).
