He is survived by: his wife Maria Gurrola; his son Gabriel Gurrola Jr.; his stepson Mizraim Palacios; his grandchildren, Eden and Aida Palacios; his stepdaughter Edlyn Gomez; his son-in-law Benjamin Gomez; and his grandchildren, Josiah, Lillyah and Bennicio Gomez. He is also survived by eleven siblings.
