He was predeceased by: his father Billie Ray; his son Matthew Phillips; and his sister Dianna Phillips. He is survived by: his wife Vicki Phillips; his stepsons, Adam Roberts of Barling and Nathan Roberts of Barling; his brother Randy Phillips of Stuttgart; his grandson Logan Phillips of Washington; his nephew Coby Peters (Pricilla); and his niece Mary Finley (Ken). He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
