He was predeceased by: his mother JoEllen Chronister (Reeves). He is survived by: his father H. B. Chronister, Jr. of Alma; his daughter Amber Sunday (Bryan) of Alma; his sister Belinda Shelly of Alma; and his granddaughters, Amelia Sunday and Savannah Sunday.
