He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Ann Newton (Tindell). He is survived by: his sons, James Lee Newton of Van Buren, Calvin Ray Newton, Jr. of Alma and Earl Ray Edgar Newton Jr.; and his siblings, Patsy Thompson of Van Buren and Samuel Newton. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
A burial was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Gill Cemetery.
