It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wanda Layton (Tuckerman, Arkansas), born in Swifton, Arkansas, who passed away on October 5, 2018, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Wesley and Ida May Mitts (Lewellyn); her husband Thomas Eugene "Gene" Layton, Sr.; her sisters, Jewel Scoggin, Ollie Ellen Templeton and Marsha Davis; her daughter-in-law Kathy Layton; and her nephew Greg Davis.
She is survived by: her children, Thomas E. Layton, Jr. of Tuckerman and Judy McAllister (Chuck) of Spring Hill, Louisiana; her sister Paula Long (Tom) of Newport; her grandchildren, Cassie Coyle and Tara Layton Gates; her great grandchildren, Rowan Gates, Michael Coyle and Asher Gates; and her nieces and nephews, Kevin Long, Patrick Long, Mason Long, Joyce Cantrell and Lori Wilkerson.
