He was predeceased by : his parents, Jonathan Taylor and Polly Ann Goodman (Devore Guffey); his siblings, Robert Guffey, Albert Guffey, Woodrow Guffey, Doyle Guffey, Henry Orden Goodman, Curtis Goodman, Ramon Goodman, Gladys Turner and Imaneal Lassiter; and his granddaughter Amy Katherine Voyles.

He is survived by : his wife Mary Jo (Gifford); his grandchild His; and his great grandchildren, Justin Hager of Lynn and Austin Hager of Texas. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
