It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Garland Hendrix of Tuckerman, Arkansas, born in Newport, Arkansas, who passed away on September 2, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Ray and Agnes Elizabeth Hendrix (Swan); and his siblings, Clifton Hendrix, Clifford Hendrix, Woody Hendrix, Oscar Hendrix and Brenda Winston.
He is survived by: his wife Miss Mary Smith; his daughters, Elizabeth Culp of Jonesboro and Karen Jackson (John) of Tuckerman; his brother Albert Hendrix (Billie) of Tuckerman; his grandchildren, Kriston Kroger, Marylynn Valenta, Sam Culp, Josh Culp, Candy Culp, Brittany Culp, Robin Dobbs and Casey Lee Dobbs; and his close friends, Harvey Caldwell Sr. and Harold Odom. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
