He was predeceased by: his parents, Les Roberts and Lucille Roberts (Walden); his son Gene Roberts; and his siblings, L. C. Roberts, Shirley Campbell and Judy Hughes.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ann Roberts (Smothers); his siblings, Billy Joe Roberts (Diann) of Newport, Bobby Roberts (Shirley) of Monticello and Patricia McKenney of Diaz; and his brother-in-law Dean Smothers (Judy) of Jacksonville. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
