It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Merle Delamar (Tucker, Arkansas), born in Dalark, Arkansas, who passed away on March 22, 2018, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his daughter Gloria DeLamar; his siblings, Zeddie B. Jackson, Myrtle Jones, Maud Jones, Elsie Ben Johnson, Frankie Plummer, Odessa Nelson, Horace Johnson, Leon DeLamar, Jr., Clarence DeLamar, Claudie DeLamar and Algie Johnson; and his son-in-law Gerald Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy J. DeLamar; his children, Dennis Nelson (Sue) of Malvern, AR, Ermatine Johnson of Gum Springs, AR, Milton Nelson of Dalark, AR, James DeLamar of Tucker, AR, Sandra DeLamar (James Jacobs) of Dalark, AR, Darren Johnson (Barbara Hughes) of Sparkman, AR, Eric Keith (Katrine) of Milwaukee, WI and Bridgette Jones of Fayetteville, AR; his brother Oliver DeLamar of Oakland, CA; his brothers-in-law, James Wingfield (Emma) and George Wingfield (Betty); and also, Geneva King and Berthia DeLamar. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family members, special friends Rev. Thomas Brazil, Sr., Rev. Roy Smith, Herman Jones, Vanilla Hannah and Lawrence Wright, as well as, numerous other friends.
