She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernie Sharpe and Dollie Floyd Sharpe; her former husband George Lauderdale; her husband Buford Mitchell; her daughter Debra Eaton; and her siblings, Beulah Steen and Orville Sharpe.

She is survived by: her children, Waymon Lauderdale (Linda) of Dyersburg, Ruby Peaster of Trumann, Linda Flanagan of Trumann, Jennifer Adams of Jonesboro, Thomas Lauderdale of Trumann and Sabrina Burke of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and her brother Joe Sharpe of Bay, Arkansas. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
