It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert Watson of Trumann, Arkansas, born in Cherokee, Alabama, who passed away on January 13, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Syble Lee Combs Watson; his siblings, Thomas, Billy Watson and Lou Hedley; and his parents, Robert Neal and Mary Lou George Watson.

He is survived by: his children, Lee Clinton Watson (Sandra) of Trumann and Lanita Allen (Buz) of Mammoth Spring, AR; his sisters, Linda Parker of Henderson, TN. and Joan Bray of Lake Alfred, FL; his grandchildren, Jonathan Watson, Amy Ward and Tera Lehman; and his great grandchildren, Charleigh Watson, Jaden Lehman and Ty Lehman.

“I always felt Buddy was my special cousin. We always looked each other up for a good visit when we had state Vocational Education meetings. Geraldine and I loved to visit him when we were in Mammoth Springs. His stories of the Georges, especially Grandma and Grandpa, were so interesting as were the stories of his military life and how he and Sybil met. He loved her so.
