He was predeceased by: his siblings, Thomas Ray Steen, James Edward Steen, Jr., Mary Mae Acker and Sue Elois Russell; and his parents, James Edward Steen, Sr. and Mary Ethel Armstrong.
He is survived by: his sister Patsy Simpson of Trumann; his stepsiblings, Joyce Marie Steen of Trumann and Boyd Edward Steen of Oklahoma; his niece Talisa Simmons; his nephews, David Lee Russell and Ricky Sanchez; and his close friend Martha Cook.
