He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Levi Hitt and Maurice Hitt (Donel); his wife Dot; his children, Howard Blaine Hitt of Manila, Mary Becky Hitt of Harrisburg and Marie Denise Whitman of Trumann; and his siblings, Bobby J. Hitt of Monroe, Curtis Wayne Hitt of Colorado Springs, Tommy E. Hitt of Jonesboro, Maurice L. Hitt of Arkadelphia, Kenneth Barry Hitt of Los Angeles and Evelyn Janet "Jan" Simpson of Harrisburg. He was also cherished by eight grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren.
