James Eston Scotton Obituary
James Eston Scotton, 86, of Trumann, Arkansas formerly of Bonaparte, Iowa passed away on February 11, 2023 at Arkansas Continued Care Hospital. He was born on May 19, 1936 to Torrence Scotton and Cheryl Hamburg Scotton. He was born and raised in Mt. Sterling, Iowa. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, tying flies, woodworking, playing guitar, singing, spending time on his farm in Iowa, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include; one daughter: Cheryl Richey (Lynn) of Trumann, Arkansas; three sons: Torrence "Scotty" Scotton (Teresa) of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, and Shawn Scotton (Robin) of Venus, Texas; thirteen grandchildren; thirty three great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by; his parents: Torrence Scotton and Cheryl Hamburg Scotton; loving wife: Cynthia Scotton; and one son: Rick Scotton.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Cheryl and Lynn's home in Trumann, Arkansas. Burial will follow on May 19, 2023 at Harness Cemetery in Mt. Sterling, Iowa.
