He was predeceased by: his son James Aaron Poff; his siblings, Joe Poff, Jr., John Poff and Grace Suzanne Wood; and his parents, Dr. Joseph Hillman, Sr. and Reba Avanelle Haisty Poff.

He is survived by: his son Kyle Poff (Sandra) of Trumann; and his grandson Jesse Poff (Leanne Looney) of Trumann.
