It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn Lois Smith of Trumann, Arkansas, born in Newport, Arkansas, who passed away on April 8, 2022, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Helms and Sara Lance Helms; her children, William Smith and Sara Estep; her siblings, Bobby Gene, Alfred Edward, Albert Lee and Martha Pierce; and her great grandchild Kailynn Artiss.

She is survived by: her children, George Helms of Trumann, Arkansas and Lois Smith of Trumann, Arkansas; her siblings, Harold Wayne Helms of Newport, Arkansas, Phyllis Manual (Butch) of Ravenden Springs and Elizabeth Staggs of Tuckerman, Arkansas; and her daughter-in-law Tammie Helms. She is also survived by grandchildren; many great grandchildren.
