He was predeceased by: his wife Joanne Dean; his siblings, James, Elmer, Elbert Dean, Lorine Beatrice Wilson, Clara May Garlock, Evelyn Uhles, Margaret Dean, Ruby Ellis Wimberly and Verna Alta Griffin; and his parents, Ernest Dean and Elsie May Bell Dean.
He is survived by: his children, Richard Dean (Arleen) of Lompoc, CA and Katherine Machelle Sauceda of Santa Maria, CA; and his brothers, Harold Dean of Maricopa, CA and Edward Joe Dean of Taft, CA. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
