She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonnie Lewis and Clara Avey (Williams); her husband Doyle Goodman; her daughter Colleen Dearien; her brothers, Max Leon (Jettia Louise Avey) and Lonnie Letus Avey; her nephew Rick Avey; her great-nephew Derick Lewis Avey; and also Karson Layne Mullins.
She is survived by: her sister Rhonda P. Stewart; her grandson Jon Lancaster; and her stepgranddaughter Shiela Kay Wilkie. She is also survived by extended family and friends.
