Robert Roy McManus Obituary
Robert Roy "Bobby" McManus, age 69, of Thornton, passed away September 25, 2020. Bobby was born on July 21, 1951 to the late Roy McManus and Lorene Murry McManus. He was a proud 1969 graduate of Thornton High School. A longtime resident of Thornton, he ran McManus Auto Body Shop there for years. He was an avid hunter & fisherman and enjoyed playing the guitar.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Johnnie McManus, and his infant daughter Chandra Michelle McManus. Bobby is survived by two daughters: Lindy Brewer (Jim) of Alexander, and Julie Mitchell of Thornton, six grandchildren, a sister Judy Freeman (Dale) of Thornton, and many friends and extended family members.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 28 at 10 am at Calaway Cemetery in Thornton, Arkansas with Rev. Bobby George officiating. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce, AR. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
