He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Jones and Evelyn Pennington Jones Taylor; and his siblings, Dorothy Jones Williams, Virginia Jones Launius and Wendell Jones.

He is survived by: his wife Martha Jean Abbott Jones; his children, Debbie Jones Ethridge (Steve) of Bentonville and John Calvin Jones (Tara) of Glen Rose; and his grandsons, Levi Jones (Katie), Isaac Jones and Andrew Ethridge.
