He is survived by: his wife Sue Briley Lavender; his children, Betsy Lavender, Julie Lavender Borowitz (John) and George William Lavender, Jr.; and his grandchildren, Hollan Briley Borowitz, George William Lavender, III, John Thomas Borowitz and Libby Gale Lavender.
