He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia Powell Jones. He is survived by: his children-in-law, Mike Jones, Donna Jones of Longview, Steve Jones, Cindy Jones of Texarkana, Annette Jennings, Tony Jennings of Huntsville, Karen Ward and Keith Ward of Texarkana; and his sister Pearl Henry of Willow Creek. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren.
