He was predeceased by: his son Buck Joshua Wilson; his parents, Troy Wilson, Sr. and Emma Lee Jacobs Wilson; and his siblings, Coy Wilson, Roy Wilson, Bill Wilson and Ella Mae Connor.

He is survived by: his wife Ellen Wilson of Texarkana; his children, Mark Steven Wilson of Genoa, Hank (Helene Wilson) and Barbara; his son-in-law Ron Norman of Texarkana; his sisters, Joyce Lang of Humble and Margie Wilson of Texarkana; and his grandchildren, Rodney Wilson, Sr. (Sara Adkins), Kirsten Brewer (Michael), Steve and Valerie Smith. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and a number of friends and other relatives.
