He was predeceased by: his parents, Clint East and Adelle East; his sister Gail Elder; and his brother-in-law David Hall. He is survived by: his wife Tina McWhiney East of Texarkana, Arkansas; his children, Adam East (Sherry) of Hope, Arkansas, Dana Sauls (Tony) of Springdale, Arkansas and Mary East of Cave Springs, Arkansas; his brother Larry; his sister-in-law Trudie East of Texarkana, Arkansas; his sisters, Sharon (David Rowe) of Springfield and Belinda Hall of Hope, Arkansas; his father-in-law Murray; his brothers-in-law, Mark McWhiney (Dee) of Shreveport, Greg McWhiney (Christi) of Shreveport, Louisiana and Mike Elder of Hope, Arkansas; and his grandchildren, Tommy East, Leila East, Elliott Hurley, Sabin Sauls, Marilee Sauls, Arlis Sauls and Maxx Reed.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Texarkana Funeral Home (4801 Parkway Dr, Texarkana, AR 71854). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Herndon Fuqua Funeral Home (403 S Main St, Hope, AR 71801).
