He was predeceased by: his siblings, Daniel Pettey, Joyce Kennedy and Floyd Thomas. He is survived by: his son John Pettey of Wrighstville, Arkansas; his stepchildren, Norweitta Damron of Jefferson, Texas, Al Wright of New Boston and Dennis Beaty of Eureka, California; and his siblings, Lou Crye of Jefferson, Darrell Thomas of Illinois, Donald Thomas of Quitman and Frankie McGray of Jefferson, Texas. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
