He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Boren Brainerd and Zana Curtis Brainerd; and his daughter-in-law Vickie Brainerd (Tim Brainerd). He is survived by: his wife Ellen Caldwell Brainerd; his children, Ralph C. Brainerd, Jr. (Freida) of Texarkana, TX, Timothy Brainerd (Carolyn) of New Boston, TX, Mark Brainerd (Debbie) of Compton, AR and Gwen Trover (Roger); and his sister Zana Minchew (Morris) of Hallsvile, TX. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
