He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Yates and Mary Walton Yates. He is survived by: his daughter Leslie Dieterlen (Brett); his grandchildren, Brittany, Blair, Blake and Bridgette; and his siblings, Tommy Yates (Yvonne) and Carolyn Patterson (Joe). He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, grandnephews, and grandnieces.
