He was predeceased by: his children, Fred Weehunt and Victoria Eatchel. He is survived by: his wife Leona Mae Forste of Texarkana, Arkansas; his children, Joseph "Joe" Forste Jr. of Taft, James Weehunt (Jamie) of Texarkana, Freda Nelson of Fouke, Angela Helms of Taft, Sherry Helms of Taft, Patricia Helms of Austin and Betty Campos of Taft, California; and his siblings, Herb Forste, Tommy Forste and Pat Collins. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and other relatives.
