He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Allen Burnett and Maury Wills Burnett; his granddaughter Kiley Burnett Stuesse; and his siblings, Argus Burnett and Willie May Fisher.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ann Burnett; his children, Barry Burnett (Sonia), Bruce Burnett (Sheri), Bret Burnett (Claudia) and Belinda Hutcheson (Jim); his grandson-in-law Curtis Stuesse; his grandchildren, Erik Burnett (Mindy), Megan Burnett Squires (Tommy), Amanda Burnett Bergsma (Ryan), Andrea Burnett, Gabriela Burnett, Brianna Burnett, Katie Hutcheson, Nathan Hutcheson and Andrew Hutcheson; and his great grandchildren, Jameson Burnett and Hadley Bergsma.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Johnny Burnett's memory can be made to Heifer International or the International Mission Board for the work in Brazil.
