He was predeceased by: his son John F. Stroud III; and his parents, Ella Clarine Steel Stroud and John Fred Stroud. He is survived by: his close friends, McClerkin and Nutter; his wife Marietta Kimball Stroud of Dequeen, AR.; his children, Ann Kimball Stroud (David Plato White) and Tracy Stroud Waters (John Everett Waters); and his grandchildren, John Luke Stroud, Emily Ann "Emmy" Stroud, Turner Everett Waters, John "Jack" Steel Waters and Greer Kimball Waters.
