She was predeceased by: her parents, Sid McDowell and Dovie McDowell; and her siblings, Sid Ward, Eugene McDowell and Betty Lou Cobb.

She is survived by: her husband Doug Miller; her children, Judith Stone (Brent) and Joel Miller (Cindy); her grandchildren, Callie Starks (Cullen), Alex and Anna Grace Miller; her brother Don McDowell; her sister-in-law Eilene; and her great grandchildren, Jax, Charlie and Emory Starks.
