He was predeceased by: his parents, James David Tiner and Martha Winham. He is survived by: his sons, John Tiner of Texarkana and Jacob Cottingham (Mandi Cottingham); and his siblings, Mary Ann Kovene of Seminole, Oklahoma and Thomas Tiner of Little Rock, Arkansas. He is also survived by nine Grandchildren; 2 Great Grandchildren; and a number of step grandchildren.
