She was predeceased by: her parents, William Whitefield and Julia Whitefield; and her siblings, Bill Parker Whitefield, Jr., James R. Whitefield, Geneva Whitefield and Mary Collins.
She is survived by: her husband Jerry McDowell of Texarkana, Arkansas; her sister-in-law Dorothy Whitefield of Genoa; and her nieces, Virginia Tennyson (Herbert), Trina L. Vaugh and Ruth Ann Frazier (Kevin). She is also survived by friends and other relatives.
