He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther P. Griffith and Mary Atlas Thomas Griffith; and his brothers, O. M. "Pete" Griffith, James Varnel "Red" Griffith and Travis L. "Scooter" Griffith.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Jeanette Sams Griffith; his children, Sheila Marie Hoelscher Wolfe, Bobbie Lynnette "Lyn" Holt and Raymond Eugene Griffith; and his grandchildren, Jared Lawrence Holt, Emily Anna Holt, Catherine Marie Hoelscher, Mary Jeanette Wolfe, Aiden Michael Griffith and Bill Vanderbilt. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
