It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jean Nix of Texarkana, Arkansas, born in Doddridge, Arkansas, who passed away on May 29, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Earnest Russell and Meda Mae Bryant Russell; her brothers, Ralph Russell, Jerry Russell and Tommy Russell; her daughter-in-law Annette Nix; and her granddaughter-in-law Amy Nix.
She is survived by: her husband Jack; her children, Robert (Tyna Nix), Steve (Betty Nix) and Teresa Smith of New Boston, Texas; her grandchildren, Kurt Nix, Matthew Nix, Chris Nix, Sam Nix, Jeff Nix, Erica Ramage, Paige Burks, Tiffany Studebaker and Chelsea Gillion; and her siblings, Jesse Russell of Thousand Oaks, Earnestine Mays of Amarillo and Sheila Cook of Texarkana, Arkansas.. She is also survived by nineteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren.
