He is survived by: his wife Betty Wheat of Texarkana, Arkansas; his children, Dena (Scott Youngblood), Becky (Chris Hardin), Jamie (Hoot Jones) and Duner; his daughter-in-law Tina Wheat of Texarkana, Arkansas; his grandchildren, Taylor Youngblood, Holi (Jimmy Hoover), Michael (Marissa Youngblood), Kirsten (Lonnie Smith), Todd Calhoon, Samantha (Daniel Spears), Madalyn Wheat, Haley Jones, Charleigh Wren, Abbie Wren and Jake Hardin; his great grandchildren, Lacey, Brooklynn, Hannah, Zoie, Adalynn, Tres, Merritt and Myles; his brother Jerry (Katherin Wheat); and his close friends, Mike Mahurin, Doug and Monique Burns.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Texarkana Firefighter's Honor Guard, 216 Walnut Street, Texarkana, Arkansas.
