He was predeceased by: his parents, David Henton and Anna Viola Tompkins (Lacy); his wife Marie Clayton Tompkins; his siblings, Dewy Tompkins, Billie Tompkins, Lyla Tompkins, Baby Tompkins, Madge Tompkins, Mary Tompkins (Teddy), Watson Tompkins, Cloyd, Loyd Tompkins, Houston Tompkins and Marzelle Tompkins; and his grandson Chad Tompkins.
He is survived by: his children, Wayne Tompkins (Vicki) of Emerson, Robert Tompkins (Robin) of Taylor, Arkansas and Marsha Tompkins Fisk (Michael); and his grandchildren, Tommy Tompkins, Walt Tompkins, Christian Tompkins, Christy Tompkins Hosley, Brian Tompkins, Sam Tompkins, Jason Breashears and Ashley Breashears. He is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren, four great great-grandchildren.
