It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joe Franklin Powell of Taylor, Arkansas, who passed away on January 16, 2022, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Albert and Vesta Orene Caswell-Powell; his wife Florine Powell; his son Kevin Powell; his grandson Cody Taylor; his brother James A. Powell, Jr.; his parents-in-law, Kermit and Ruby Wheelington; his sister-in-law Estelle Reeves; and his niece Jamie Powell.
He is survived by: his children, Matthew Powell (Amy) of Sarepta, LA, Terry Vickers (Margie) of Stamps, AR, Tawnya Souter of Shongaloo, LA, Robin Wynne (Jeremie) of Taylor, AR and Crystal Lewis (Jason) of Shongaloo; and his sisters-in-law, Velta Byrd of Magnolia, AR and Teena Powell of Sarepta, LA. He is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
