He was predeceased by: his parents, Felder Crawford and Annie Lee McGuffey Thompson; his wife Obie Marie Rodgers Thompson; and his siblings, F. C. Thompson, Jr., George Gilbert Thompson and Mary Alice Lowe.
He is survived by: his children, Jerry Wayne Thompson, Jr. (Alicia) of Haughton, LA, Jeff Thompson of Taylor, AR and Kristina Waynette Markham (Jerry) of Gulf Shores, AL; his grandchildren, Marlayna Dickens, Marcie Lott, Brett Thompson, Jerrmy Thompson, Maxwell Grissom and Jaxon Markham; his great grandchildren, Cloe, Keeton, Tinley, Asher, Linley, Kyden, Kazleigh, Knoxx, Avaleigh, Ashton and Hunter; and his brother Huey Thompson (Carol). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home - Springhill (304 First Street, Northwest Springhill, LA 71075). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
