He was predeceased by: his parents, Needham Aubrey Whitehead and Cora Smith; and his wife Phyllis Beasley Whitehead. He is survived by: his children, Samuel T. Whitehead of Taylor, AR, Jeffery D. Whitehead of Nash, TX, Donna J. Krzastek (Stephen John) of Chapel Hill, NC and Pamela K. Lytle of Mesquite, TX; and his sister Martha Morgan (Carl) of Shreveport, LA. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
