He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Burnett Sr. and Corinne Britt Umphries; his stepfather James "Red" Umphries; his brothers, Larry Burnett and Bobby Burnett; and his niece Jessica Burnett.

He is survived by: his wife Judy J. Burnett; his daughters, Stacia Burnett Britt and Kim Burnett Wood; his son-in-law Dougie Wood of Emerson, Arkansas.; his grandchildren, Haleigh, Jordan Hanson of Walker Creek, Bo Wood, Christina of Emerson, Paxton Britt of Canfield, Cade Britt and Makinna of Peculiar, Kansas.; his great grandchildren, Aubrey, Emmett, Sawyer Hanson, Aurora Wood and Willow Mae Wood; his sister Pam (Eddie Dinkins); his sister-in-law Jean Burnett (Beverly Burnett) of Monticello; and his close friends, Randy, Ken, Mitchie, Wayne, Glen, David, George and Wade.

“About 65 years ago, I thought Cliff was the coolest kid at Walker's Creek School. He was my first serious crush. (We once held hands on the bus coming home from a play at Bradley.) He grew up to have a kind, sweet wife, a beautiful and loving family, and many friends. and to live in a pretty, peaceful place where he could fish and hunt to his heart's content. A good life! I know you're going to miss him. Hope the memories that come back to you most are the ones that make you smile.”
