He was predeceased by: his son Barry Emerson; and his siblings, Harold Emerson, Don Emerson and Dollie Fussell. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Emerson of Taylor; his children, Scott Emerson (Pam) of Taylor and Gay Lewis (Rickey) of Gladewater, Texas; and his siblings, Imogene Sweet of Taylor and Bobby Emerson (Karen) of Taylor. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandson; and a host of extended family and friends.
